2. Scope of Responsibility
This policy applies to all individuals working on behalf of or associated with Harbor Haven Foundation, including:

- • Volunteers, advocates, and community organizers.
- • Board members, trustees, and advisors.
- • Institutional partners and external consultants.
3. Code of Conduct
All representatives of Harbor Haven must adhere to strict guidelines. We demand:
- • Treating all program participants, refugees, and youth with dignity and respect.
- • Maintaining professional boundaries and avoiding any behavior that could be perceived as exploitative or abusive.
- • Zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment (SEAH).
- • Proactive steps to design safe physical and digital spaces for youth counseling and education.
4. Safe Recruitment and Training
We ensure that our team is fit to serve vulnerable communities by:
- • Conducting thorough background checks, reference checks, and screening for all volunteers and staff.
- • Providing mandatory safeguarding induction training to all new team members.
- • Reviewing risks in our community outreach programs annually.
5. Reporting Procedures
If you have any concerns regarding the safety, behavior, or conduct of a Harbor Haven representative, or if you suspect someone is experiencing harm within our programs, you must report it immediately:
